Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl)

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), also known as "Super Oxidized Water", is a mild acid with healing and protective properties found naturally in mammals. The unique qualities of HOCl make it an ideal choice for cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting in a variety of applications. It is several times more effective in neutralizing or killing bacteria, viruses, and fungi than traditional bleach without concern for irritation of the eyes, skin and respiratory tract bleach is known for.

HOCl came be made in a few ways. The first is through electrolysis of salt water at a certain pH to create an HOCl solution that is >99% water and typically at concentrations around 200 parts per million (ppm). This requires equipment for electrolysis and the resulting solution has a limited shelf life and is heavy to ship for final use. The other way to create HOCl is through the dilution of Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) tablets in water. Using NaDCC tablets provides the simplest method of creating HOCl at highly effective concentrations for a variety of applications. Our 4 gram tablet mixed on-site with 32 ounces of tap water can create a solution of HOCl with a concentration greater than 1300 ppm, a benchmark for many 3rd party tested kill claims.
